As long has there have been ghosts, there have been Ghost Hunters investigating them. Here are some of the world's most famous ghost hunters. Hans Holzer has been investigating spirit phenomena since the early sixties. Since 1963, (his first book, Ghost Hunter), he has written over 138 books as well as several plays, musicals, films, documentaries and hosted a television show on the subject. Prominent British psychical researcher, Harry Price was born January 17, 1881, and was educated at London and Shropshire. At the age of fifteen, he conducted his first scientific investigation of poltergeist phenomena, staying until midnight in a reputed haunted house with photographic equipment. "The game is afoot, Watson!" When not creating his famous fiction character, Sherlok Holmes, (Doctor) Sir Authur Conon Doyle was a member of the Society for Psychic Research in England and an avid spirit investigator. Charles Fort entitled himself a "intermediatist," one who beleived, "all phenomena are approximations one way or the other between realness and unrealness."
